IHHT Oxygen Therapy
What is IHHT Oxygen Therapy?
Intermittent Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy (IHHT) uses controls how you breathe, alternating between periods of lower and higher oxygen levels. This creates a physiological stimulus that encourages the body to adapt.
The changing oxygen levels can influence how the body uses and delivers oxygen, supporting energy production, circulation and the body's ability to respond to physical stress.
At REGEN, we deliver IHHT using a monitored breathing system, with oxygen levels adjusted automatically throughout the session while you relax in a comfortable chair.
1 - Controlled Hypoxia
Oxygen levels are steadily reduced
2 - Oxygen Sensing
Cells detect the change
How does it work?
3 - Cellular Response
HIF pathways are activated
4 - Oxygen restoration
Oxygen levels are increased
5 - Adaptation Occurs
Cells respond to repeated cycles
6 - Improved Efficiency
The body adapts to oxygen changes

-
You’ll sit comfortably while breathing through a mask. The ReOxy system automatically controls the oxygen levels throughout the session.
-
No. Simply breathe normally and let the system guide the oxygen changes. Your oxygen levels and heart rate are monitored throughout.
-
The changes in oxygen are gradual and controlled. You may notice subtle changes in how you feel as your body responds to each cycle.
-
Yes. You don't need any previous experience with hypoxic training. Your session is monitored and the protocol can be adjusted to your individual response.
-
If you’re pregnant, have a medical condition, or take medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure or breathing, speak to your healthcare professional before starting. If you're unsure, get in touch with us first.
-
Let your practitioner know straight away if you feel lightheaded, anxious or short of breath. If you experience dizziness, nausea, chest discomfort or unusual fatigue, the session should be stopped.
-
A typical course is 10 sessions over around 20 days, with no more than 48 hours between sessions. Your practitioner can recommend the most suitable course based on your goals and response.
-
Stay hydrated and give your body time to adjust. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for at least an hour after your session, particularly when you're new to IHHT.
-
Everyone responds differently. Some people notice changes after individual sessions, while others find the effects build gradually over a course of treatment. A 10 session course generally gives benefits lasting up to 6 months.
