Red Light Therapy
What is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy, also known as Photobiomodulation (PBM), uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to support the body’s natural recovery processes.
These wavelengths penetrate the skin and are absorbed by cells, where they can influence cellular activity and processes involved in circulation, inflammation and tissue repair.
At REGEN, we deliver full-body red and near-infrared light therapy using a whole-body treatment bed, allowing the light to be applied across the body in a single session.

-
Wear underwear or a swimsuit, or whatever you feel comfortable in. More exposed skin allows the light to reach more of the body.
-
There’s very little preparation needed. We recommend removing heavy makeup from any areas you want to treat and avoiding lotions or sunscreen beforehand.
-
Yes. We provide protective eyewear to wear during your session.
-
The treatment is gentle and non-invasive. You’ll feel some warmth from the light, but there’s no pain and no downtime afterwards.
-
A typical session lasts around 17 minutes. More isn’t necessarily better - consistency is more important than extending the session.
-
Red light therapy is suitable for most people, but there are some circumstances where you should check with a healthcare professional first. This includes pregnancy, active cancer treatment, photosensitive conditions and medications that increase sensitivity to light.
-
If you have an existing medical condition or are under medical care, let us know before your session. We can help you understand whether the treatment is appropriate for you.
-
There’s no recovery period, so you can get on with your day. We recommend avoiding intense heat, such as a sauna or very hot shower, for several hours afterwards.
-
For a new routine, we recommend around three sessions per week initially. Once you’re seeing the benefits, sessions can usually be spaced out to one to three times per week depending on your goals and how you respond.
